Hanumangarh

The district of Hanumangarh is one the many districts that make up the state of Rajasthan. The district has its main centre for the control of administration in the city of Hanumangarh itself. The district is located in the northernmost part of the state of Rajasthan. The district is bordered by the districts of Churu and Ganganagar. The district is also bordered by the state of Punjab and Haryana. The district came into being in the year 1994 when land was scrapped of from the district of the district of Ganganagar. The district covers a land area of approximately around 12645 sq km with a population of about 17.7 lacs individuals. The district of Hanumangarh has a population density of approximately around 184 people per sq km. The district is the wealthiest district of the state of Rajasthan owing to the huge quantities of wheat it produces. The district also has the oldest fort of India
