Nagaland

The state of Nagaland is one of the smallest and most farthest states of the Republic of India located along the eastern part of the Geographical map. The state of Nagaland is on the lower hills of the Himalayas, which are almost cut off from the main mountain range. The state has the city of Kohima as its capital. The state like the other northeastern states is covered with hilly forests. The state of Nagaland covers a land area of approximately 16,579 sq km and holds a population of about 1,980,602 individuals. The state of Nagaland has altogether 16 different tribes living together with their own customs and traditions.  English is taken to be the official language of the state.
