The district of Dholpur is one of the 33 districts that make up the entire state of Rajasthan. The district of Dholpur has its main centre for administration in the city of Dholpur itself. The districts that border the district of Dholpur are Bharatpur and Karauli. The district is also bordered by the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The district has the River of Chambal flowing through the eastern side of the district. The district has a lot of dry land which is basically made up of Sandstone and ravines formed due to water erosion.The district of Dholpur covers a land area of approximately around 3084 sq km with a population that approximately amounts up to 10 lacs individuals. The density of population of the district of Dholpur is approximately around 398 people per sq km of the total administrative area. The district also has huge differences in the summer and winter temperatures just like the other districts of Rajasthan.
