The state of Gujarat is located along the western part of India and is often termed as the ‘Jewel of India’. The state of Gujarat is one of the oldest states of the Republic of India covering a land area of approximately about 196,204 sq km. The state has a population density of 310 individuals per sq km with an overall population of 60,439,692 individuals. The state of Gujarat was the home of Mahatma Gandhi and is also famous for the salt it produces. Gujarat is a key component of India’s economic sector. Gujarat is also the home to the ‘Rann of Kachch’.
