Dausa

The district of Dausa is one of the important administrative districts of the state of Rajasthan. The district has its main administrative centre in the city of Dausa itself. The district of Dausa is also known as ‘Dev Nagari’. The district of Dausa came into being in the year 1991 after the separation of land from the district of Jaipur. The district in the past was primarily ruled by the tribal rulers who form a predominant part of the population of the region. The district also played a very important part in the freedom movement for India.The district of Dausa has a total land area of approximately around 3404 sq km with a population of approximately about 16.3 lacs individuals. The district of Dausa has a population density of approximately of 480 people per sq km of the total area. The district is famous all over India for the exquisite culture that the land has in store.
