Meghalaya

The state of Meghalaya is a part of the small northeastern state of the Republic of India. The state of Meghalaya is nestled amidst the Himalayas along the eastern range. The state is considered to be the ‘abode of clouds’ according to the Indian Mythology. The small state of Meghalaya covers a land area of approximately about 22,429 sq km. The population of the state of Meghalaya is approximately about 2,964,007 individuals with a population density of 130 individuals per sq km. The city of Shillong is the capital as well as the largest city of Meghalaya. The population of Meghalaya is a mixture of various tribes of the state.
