Umaria

The district of Umaria located in the north – eastern part of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The district is extremely important part of the state of Madhya Pradesh as it helps the centre in administration of the whole of the North – eastern part. The district has the city of Umaria as its main administrative centre. Umaria is a part of the Shahdol division of the state of Madhya Pradesh. In the past, Umaria was a part of the Shahdol district but was later separated from the district in the year 1998. The district of Umaria covers a land area of approximately 4548 sq km. The population of the district of Umaria is around about 6.4 lacs individuals with a population density of 158 people per sq km. The district also has quite a huge amount of coal deposits which serves as a constant source revenue for the district. The district also has quite a few places of tourist interest.
