The district of Katni is one of those 50 districts that make up the state of Madhya Pradesh. The district of Katni is a part of the Jabalpur division of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The district has its main centre of administration located in the city of Katni itself. The district gets its name from the main city that it has. The district receives funds from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program for proper administration.
