Damoh

The district of Damoh is also in important district of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The district is a part of the Sagar division of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The city of Damoh is the main centre for control of the administrative works of the district. The district was ruled by the rulers of the Chandela Rajputs. The region was later annexed by the Mughal Ruler of Akbar. The district has a lot of temples that brings in a lot of people with religious faith to the district of Damoh. The district of Damoh is covered by the land area of 7304 sq km. The district of Damoh holds in a population of 12.6 lacs individuals with a density of population amounting up to 173 people per sq km. The district of Damoh is one of the 250 most backward districts of India and depends on the aids provided by the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program.
