The district of Guna is one of the many districts that are an implicit part of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The district of Guna has its main administrative centre in the city of Guna itself. The district of Guna is bordered by the districts of Shivpuri, AshokeNagar, Vidishaand Rajgarh. The district has the river of Parbati that flows through the heartland. Land was scrapped off from the district of Guna to form a new district of Ashoknagar in the year of 2003. The district also forms a boundary with the state of Rajasthan. The district of Guna covers a land area of around 6485 sq km. The district has a population of 12.4 lacs individuals with a population density of approximately 194 individuals per sq km. The whole of the districts is literally divided into 4 segments that help in the cause of administration. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people of the region.
