Ratlam

The district of Ratlam is one of the important districts of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The districts that border the district of Ratlam are Mandsaur, Ujjain, Jhabua, Dhar, and the state of Rajasthan. The district has its main administrative centre in the state of Ratlam itself. The district of Ratlam is a part of the Ujjain division of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The districts is literally the oldest districts of Madhya Pradesh as it was created in the year of 1947 itself which is also the year of Indian Independence. The district of Ratlam covers a land area of approximately 4861 sq km with a population of 14.5 lacs individuals. The district has a population density of 299 people per sq km. Interestingly the district of Ratlam was initially a part of the district of Madhya Bharat which was later dissolved and Ratlam was imbibed into the district of Madhya Pradesh.
