The district of Bellary of the state of Karnataka is the district that has made quite an impact on the present News statistics for the state. The district was a part of the Vijayanagar Empire and that site is now a part of the Vijayanagar Empire World Heritage Sites. The former district was a part of Rayalseema which is presently in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The district of Bellary is located in the eastern part of the state of Karnataka. The area that the district has under its administration is approximately about 8447 sq km.
