Hisar

The district of Hisar is such a district of the state of Haryana which has been drafted and created all over again and again. The district has the city of Hisar as its main centre of administration. The district is also the main district of the Hisar division as well. The district of Hisar was the largest of all the districts of Haryana until the Government decided to trim it. The district of Jind was drafted out of Hisar in the year 1974. To add to this the districts of Sirsa and Fatehbad were also carved out of the district of Hisar. The district of Hisar holds a population of 17 lacs approximate individuals under its administration and the area that accommodates this population is about 4000 sq km. The density of population of the region is quite low at 438 individuals per sq km when compared to the other neighbouring parts. The district of Hisar is a very important part of the administrative section of the state of Haryana.
