Palwal

The district of Palwal has a great past that is embedded with glorious heritages. The district has the city of Palwal itself as its main administrative city. The region is of great cultural importance to the Hindus because of the fact that the place was a small part of the kingdom by the Pandavas, Indraprastha. It is also thought to be that the first settlements by the Aryans were done in this part of the state. The region was completely restored when Vikramaditya was the king of the region. The district also played a very important role in the fight against the British rule by playing a major role in the Revolt of 1857. The area that comes under the district is about 1397 sq km with a population of 10.4 lacs individuals. The density of population of the district is about 761 people per sq km. The district is extremely well connected both by railways and roads.
