Kaithal

The district of Kaithal is one of the newly created districts of the state of Haryana. The district of Kaithal is a part of the Ambala division of the state of Haryana. The district of Kaithal came into being in the year 1989. The district only has two tehsils: Kaithal and Guhla to its name under the administrative section. The whole section comes under the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha Constituency. The district has its main centre for administration in the city of Kaithal itself. The district has a land area of 2371 sq km under its administration and accommodates a population of approximately 10 lacs individuals in its total area making it the 423rd district of India in terms of population. The density of population of the district is approximately 463 people per sq km. The district of Kaithal has a literacy rate of 70.6% which is quite good when compared to few other regions of Inldia.
