Kheda

The district of Kheda is one of the most important districts of the State of Gujarat. The main administrative centre for the district is the city of Kheda. The district is not important because of some industries or some great achievements. The History if the region is what makes this area so special for the state of Gujarat. Various excavations at the region have led to the discovery of many animal bones which have been proved of belonging to the dinosaurs. The archaeologists have a solid feeling that the region can unveil a lot many more secrets about the extinct animals. Thus the district has made a special name for Dinosaur Tourism. The district of Kheda approximately holds 4250 sq km of area with a population that is approximately 23 lacs individuals. From the census conducted in the year 2001, the population has grown over 10%. Few places of sacred interest for the Hindus are Dakor, Nadidad, Vadtal, etc.
