Moga

The district of Moga is one of the districts of the state of Punjab. The district is located in the central region of the northern state of Punjab. The district was in fact the 17 district added to the list of districts under the administration of the state of Punjab. Before the creation of the separate district of Moga, the district was under the administrative powers of the district of Faridkot. Since the time of the fight for independence till date, the district has given many notable personalities to the Indian Community. The district of Moga covers a land area of approximately around 2234 sq km with a population of around about 9.9 lacs individuals. The district of Moga has a density of population that is roughly equal to the amount of 444 people per sq km. The main food crops for the district are wheat and rice making the district the largest producers of the crops.
