Nadia

The district of Nadia is one of those districts of the state of West Bengal which is a subject to pride of the state. The districts has had literally the mot glorified past when it is about the act of learning and education. The region around Nawadwip and Nadia was the centre of all the development in education during the rule of the Sena dynasty. The land was later invaded by the ruler of the Khilji dynasty, Bakhtiyar khilji which laid down the paving stones for the Islamic rulers to step in the land. The city of Krishnanagar is the main centre of administration for the district of Nadia. The land area that the district has under its cover is approximately around 4000 sq km with a population that amounts around 51 lacs.
