Amroha

The district of Amriha was previously known as the Jyotiba Phule Nagar district. The district is one of the important districts of the many districts of the state of Uttar Pradesh.The district came into being in the year 1997 and was renamed to Amroha in 2012. The district of Amroha has its main centre in the city of Amroha itself. The district is bordered by the districts of Bijnor, Moradabad, Badaun, Bulandsahr, Meerut and Ghaziabad. The district was one of the strongholds of the Mughal Empire in Uttar Pradesh. The legendary River of the Ganges flows through the heart land of the district of Amroha. The district of Amroha covers a land area of approximately about 2247 sq km with a total population approximately about 18.3 lacs individuals. The district of Amroha has a [population density of approximately about 818 people per sq km. The district of Amroha is one of the most Minority concentrated district of the Republic of India.
