Ambedkar Nagar

The district of Ambedkar Nagar came into being in the year 1995. The district of Ambedkar Nagar is now a very important part of the Faizabad division. The district is primarily made of villages and thus there is no exact administrative centre dedicated to the control of administration. The small city of Sahazadapur is the main place where all the commercial works of the district are attended to. The district has the small river of Tamasa flowing through the district. The district is named after Dr. B. R. Ambedkar who is the main architect of the constitution of the Republic of India. The district of Ambedkar Nagar covers a land area of approximately about 2520 sq km and literally 90% of the total area is under cultivation. The district of Ambedkar Nagar has a population of about 23.9 lacs individuals with a population density of 1021 people per sq km. The district has agriculture as the main occupation for the people of Ambedkar Nagar district to survive. The district of Ambedkar Nagar is a part of the 250 most backward district of India.
