So, we will cover every point of Swamitva Yojana in this article in detail.

What is Swamitva Yojana?

In India, most people in the villages have no record of their land. People do not even have any documents to prove ownership. This causes a situation of confusion and dispute. The purpose of the Swamitva Yojana is an attempt to correct this situation and decide the ownership of residential land in rural areas and make a record of it. Under this scheme, the residential property in rural areas will be mapped with the help of drones and Google mapping. After that, the certificate of ownership will be provided to the owner of the land or property. Swamitva Yojana will be beneficial in many ways for people in rural areas.

In the initial phase, the scheme is currently being launched in UP, MP, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, and Uttarakhand by the Government of India. The Swamitva Yojana will be implemented in the whole country after correcting the mistakes that will be revealed in the initial phase.

Benefits of Swamitva Yojana

Under this PMSY scheme, all the houses and properties in rural areas will be mapped and then the ownership card of those properties will be given to the villagers.

This makes the villagers eligible to take loans from the banks on the basis of their home or property as people do in the cities.

This scheme also helps the Government to collect taxes from the people of rural areas and then the Government will utilize this money in the development of rural areas infrastructure.

This scheme also solves the situation of dispute and confusion among the people for their properties in rural residential areas.
