Raipur Airport or also called as Swami Vivekananda Airport is the only major airport in the Chhattisgarh State. Over the years, the number of people travelling through this has increased a lot. So, government has carried out renovation and expansion of this. It is located 15 Km south of the Raipur. Recently a new terminal was constructed and it was inaugurated by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. This is equipped with latest facilities like CAT 1 system and other navigational provision required for smooth running of airports. Overall length of the runway is 2286m and has a surface of Asphalt.

- Baggage: Modern facilities to handle the baggage automatically have been developed. Also, security measures to check the baggage have also been made better like X ray scanners. Trolleys are available in ample amount. And special provision for senior citizens and physically handicapped been made.
- Medical: To deal with the medical emergencies, special rest rooms and medical facilities are provided inside the airport.
- Parking: Since this airport has been renovated recently, special provisions for parking space to cater the increasing needs were made.
- Food: Snack shop, food shop, coffee, tea shops are present inside the premises of the airport.
- Shopping: Various regional handicrafts product shops are there and various international cloth chains are also present.
Connectivity to the Raipur Airport
- By car: One can easily get rental or prepaid taxis to and from the airport. Raipur city is nearby, so one can get ample amount of transportation sources.
- By Bus: Around 34 Km from the Airport, the bus stand. To reach there you can hire many transportation modes available there.
- By Train: Raipur main station ‘Raipur Junction’ is located around 12 Km from this airport.
