Chittoor

Chittoor often referred to as Chittur is another district of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The district is nearly as big as 15359 sq km. With the districts headquarters at the City of Chittoor, thye district houses a population of 41 lacs individuals approximately. The Chittoor is derived from two words Chitt and oor that means small town with dense forest. The distrihct was drafted into the Constitution of India in the year 1911 under the British. The district of Chittoor is bordered by Anantapur, Cuddapah, Nellore, Krishnagiri, Vellore, and Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu.The district of Chittoor is also under the list of the 250 most under privileged districts of India. The district practically runs on the funds granted by the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program. Although It is highly underdeveloped, Chittoor holds nearly 41 lacs individuals in its boundaries. With very less, prospect of Agriculture and Industry, Chittoor finds most of the individuals of Chittoor living under poverty line.
