Diu Airport is the only airport in this union territory. It was built in the times when Portuguese used to live at this place. In the 1954 its construction was over and on 16th August 1955 the operations started took place on it. It still uses the Non Directional Beacon for the navigation. Currently the length of the runway is around 1823 for the direction 05/22 and 1084m for the direction of 13/31. Currently this airport has one terminal for the domestic flights only and it can handle 100 passengers at a time.

- Baggage Provisions: They have automatic Baggage handling options and this helps ease of the load on the passenger. To move your luggage, trolleys for the same have been provided.
- Medical Rooms: In case of medical emergencies, people can go to the medical room provided here. Provisions for handicapped and senior citizens have also been provided here.
- Eating: Some shops serving hot beverages like tea, coffee and cold drinks are present inside the premises of the airport. Special counters for the home meal have also been provided here.
- Shopping: Shops selling cloths, souvenirs are provided for the benefit of the travelers that come to spend their holidays.
- Parking Facilities: Ample amount of parking facilities are available for travelers and transport.
Connectivity to Diu Airport
- Car: There are two taxis lanes provided beside the airport and they run to different part of Daman and Diu. Rentals Taxis or Prepaid Taxis are also available. Hotels also provide taxis for the sightseeing the city.
- Bus: Around 8 Km from the Airport, ample amount of buses are present and some of them have special packages of sight seeing the city. Charges are very nominal as per the quality of bus the customer chooses. Government operated buses are also present.
- Railways: Around 24 KM away from the Airport, the nearest Railways station is located. You can get various modes of transportations to reach airport.
Flight Operators
Currently only Jet Airways have regular flights to this part of country. Flights to Porbander, Mumbai are easily available from here. But soon more flight operators will come in as numbers of passengers are increasing day by day.
