The JEE Main 2016 examination would be conducted from 3rd April to 10th April and the result would be out by the end of the month. According to reports, the JEE Main 2016 result would be out on April 27, 2016. The result can checked from CBSE’s official website as CBSE is the main conductor of this examination. The result will come up with a scorecard comprising of marks obtained in both pen & paper and computer-based examinations. Added to the marks, the result will also show whether the candidate has actually qualified for 2016 JEE Advanced.

The JEE Main exam comprises of 360 marks in total & each of the sections carry 120 marks. It implies that candidates (from general category) who have obtained 150 or more than that in 360 would be able to sit for JEE Advanced 2016.

Based on the score obtained in 2016 JEE Main Result & normalized score accomplished in class 12 qualifying exam, separate rank-lists would be drafted for admission in B.Tech/B.E & B.Arch/B.Planning (in colleges other than the IITs) It would be published within the 1st quarter of July.

The 2016 JEE Main Rank Card, which will indicate State Rank, All India Rank & Category Rank would be published after the result has been actually declared. Among these, just the AIR would be needed for taking admission in IITs, NITs, SFIs, CFTIs & other such institutions.

  2. Go to the new notifications & click on the pertinent link
  3. Now, you would simply need to enter your roll number & name
  4. Press OK
  5. If the entered information is correct, your result will immediately  come up on screen

You have to download the JEE Main result and take a print out of it.
