The JEE Main is a national-level entrance examination conducted by CBSE for students aspiring to take admission in the engineering colleges in India. The examination includes applications for both B.Tech & B. Arch courses. Those who score more than 150 in JEE Main would be able to sit for JEE Advanced to secure admission in IITs & ISM Dhanbad. JEE Main is a hard nut to crack and hence some of the students prefer to sit more than once to gain admission in a preferred engineering which might not be possible in the first turn. Now, the question comes what is the JEE Main 2016 number of attempts.

Well, previously the number of attempts JEE Main were 2. But the good news is that, according to recent changes in the JEE Main rules, the number of attempts has been increased to 3. It is definitely a welcome change for the JEE Main aspirants. A lot of students prefer to secure a berth in IIT for which they have to crack JEE Advanced after JEE Main. But it’s really difficult to secure the desired 150 marks cut off (qualification JEE Main marks for JEE Advanced) in the first turn for most of the students.

However, now that 2016 JEE Main number of attempts has been enhanced, the students would get another opportunity to prepare themselves well for the JEE Advanced Standard.

The JEE Main 2016 examination would be conducted in the month of April- 3rd April , 9th April & 10th April. The result would be out by 27th April, 2016. The registration process has already started from December 1, 2015 and the last date of submitting your application form is December 31st. The JEE Main examination comprises of 2 papers. Paper 1 is for B.E/B.Tech courses while Paper 2 is for B.Arch course. You can apply for either one of these papers or both.
