Visakhapatnam Airport is the second most visited airport in the Andhra Pradesh State and caters the need of the both Military and Civil Aircraft. It is located around 12 Km away from the nearest Visakhapatnam city. Indian Navy majorly use this airport but due to important location and the area which this airport covers, so in the 2007 it was renovated completely to cater international Flights and also to add some other facility like night landing facility. In the early 2013, the international flights started to fly to the Dubai and thus gave this Airport first facility for international flights. Domestic flights have been in function from the year 2007.
