Dussehra Poems - Durga Puja Poems in English & Hindi

Poems are integral part of any festival that is being celebrated in India or any other in different countries. Generally children, who are preparing for the functions in schools, will find this material quite helpful.

Dussehra is a major festival in Hindu Religion. The extent of celebrations on this has no end to it, because of the reasons that are associated with this day. With triumph of good over evil, certainly this festival has an immense meaning holding in itself. Over the years, the sort of celebrations does have changes, thanks to the commercialization, but root of this is still intact i.e. happiness and joy. The reason for this happened drew form the fact that, Lord Rama (One of the Avatars of Lord Vishnu) killed Demon Ravana in order to relief the mankind from his cruel practices. But every event that has unfolded in the Hindu culture, it has left several learning that now have become the ethics of human Race. For instance, in Ramayana the bond between the forces of brother, setup a very good example in front of making and there is no end to such standards.

Now, coming to the Dussehra poems, you can read couple of them given below.

Today is the day when we burn all our sins,
And promise to begin all over again,
Flames come and take all the darkness away,
Light shines and makes it own way,
Because this is the festival where truth wins,
We make our way towards a bright future and with our heads high and up chins,
Take a vow to do all this together,
As we burn the ravana inside us which is kept like a false heather!
Happy dusherra!

Implies Dussehra, the victory of Truth.
defenses broken, of lies, love is from the truth.
On the path of truth, millions are lined spine
continue to run without stopping, will be the flower spike.
Anger, hypocrisy, bitterness, strife, backbiting torture
deceitfulness, hatred, injustice, deceit, Ravana's family.
Eternal consciousness Ram, Ram eternal truths.
Ravana revenge - disorder, Ravana's malfeasance.
Dshann present, i.e. corruption.
Dussehra now on, we annihilate it.

Vijay satya ki hui hamesha, Haari sada buraayi hai,
Aaya parv Dussehra kehata karna sada bhalaayi hai.
Ravan tha dambhi abhimaani, usane chhal-bal dikhalaaya,
bees bhuja dus sees kataaye, apana kunaba marvaaya.
Apani hi karani se lanka sone ki jalwaayi hai.
Mann mein koi kahin buraayi Ravan jaisi nahi pale,
aur andheri waali chaadar ujiyaare ko nahi chhale.
Jisane bhi abhimaan kiya hai, usane muh ki khaayi hai.
Aaj sabhi ki yahi soch hai, mel-jol khush haali ho,
andhakaar mit jaaye saara, ghar ghar mein Diwali ho.
Mili badaayi sada usi ko jisane ki achchhayi hai.

This poem is completely written in Hindi language.
