The AIPMT is the entry-level examination for undergraduate students aspiring for admission in MBBS & BDS courses across institutions in India. The exam is held every year and the coming AIPMT exam is scheduled for May 1, 2016. The registration process has already started from 15th December 2015 and would conclude in the first half of February next year. As per the reports, the AIPMT result would be tentatively declared on June 5, 2016. You will be able to view your result from the AIPMT official website. The result would be uploaded after the closing of answer sheet window. The last date of display of answer sheet is May 26, 2016. So after that, you should keep on checking the AIPMT website from time to time for any information on the 2016 AIPMT result.
It’s to note here that CBSE extends the result of those candidates who qualify in the AIPMT examination. The qualifying marks are 50% for general candidates, 40% for reserved category candidates, 40% for general (PH) category candidates and 40% for reserved (PH) category candidates. CBSE prepares the merit or wait list according to directives of Indian Supreme Court, DCI, MCI & DGHS.
If 2 or more examinees obtain equivalent marks in the exam, inter-se-merit of those candidates would be determined by this list of preference-
- Candidates achieving higher scores in Biology in the exam
- Candidates achieving higher scores in Chemistry in the exam
- Candidates with lesser number of wrong attempted answers in every subject in the examination
- Candidates who are older would be preferred
The counseling would be conducted on the basis of candidates’ rank in the merit list.
