That’s great and for that you have to clear the AIPMT examination conducted by CBSE for undergraduate students -seeking admission in medical colleges across the country. The AIPMT 2016 would be conducted on 1st of May and the online registration process has already started. The post below offers a brief on AIPMT 2016 admission.
It’s to stress here that the AIPMT admission would be decided based on the marks scored in the AIPMT examination. To get eligible for the 2016 AIPMT admission, the general candidates have to score minimum 50% qualifying marks and the reserved category candidates should score at least 40% marks in the test. You can only get your name on the AIPMT merit list if you are able to achieve the qualifying marks. The AIPMT 2016 result would be out by June 5.
In case, 2 or more candidates obtain equivalent marks in the exam, inter-se-merit of those candidates would be determined by this list of preference-
- Students achieving higher scores in Biology in the exam
- Students achieving higher scores in Chemistry in the exam
- Students with lesser number of wrong attempted answers in every subject in the examination
- Students who are older would be preferred
The counseling session would be conducted according to your rank in merit list under 15 percent AIQ seats, excluding candidates from the states of J&K, Telengana & Andhra Pradesh.
Your admission in the MBBS or BDS courses would be based on your counseling. The counseling for qualified AIPMT 2016 candidates would be in three rounds. The MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) & DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) would carry the 2016 AIPMT counseling. The AIPMT 2016 counseling would be carried possibly in the months of July and August.
