Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University AKTU has announced its counselling dates and the procedure for getting into the various institutes that are under this university. There are several colleges and students seeking admissions in the various B.Tech courses and MCA courses need to undergo the counselling sessions where they will be offered the seats according to their ranks they scored in the common entrance test of the university. The counselling session will be one month long process would see various students getting admitted into the different courses of the colleges.
This one month long process is divided into various phases. The phases include confirmation of taking part into the counselling by paying a small fee. Then the choice filling round and allotment of seats round will follow. This is the round which is divided into three phases. In each phase the students are required to fill in the choices of seats. After the choice filling round the results are declared for that phase. Each phase is divided according to the various ranks achieved by the students. The first phase is made for the students of rank 1-30000. The second phase is divided into 30001 to 80000 and the third round is for the students ranked between 80001 to the last candidate.

Important Instructions AKTU 2021 Counselling Procedure
There are certain instructions that the student have to follow while taking part in the counselling of the UPTU colleges. The whole admission process is divided into four different steps. These four steps are as follows.
Step 1- Download UPCET 2021 Counselling Letter
In this step all the eligible students need to download the counselling letter from the UPTU website. After downloading the letter the students are required to go through the document verification round. In this round the students will be required to take the following documents along while visiting to the verification centres.
- Admit card
- The entiremark sheetthat is present for the qualifying examination and high school certificates.
- The candidate also needs to carry the certificates id they stand under special categories. This is the certificate which is needed to be carried by Handicapped candidates, SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- The students also need to carry a medical acceptance form.
After the verification of document the students will need to pay a small fee of Rs 500.the fee is to be paid in favour of Finance officer UPTU, Lucknow, Payable at city branch.
Step 2 includes the choice filling rounds. As per the achieved ranks the students will be required to fill in the choices of college and the result will be declared accordingly. It is a three phase round. There is a special round for the SC/ST/OBC candidates too.
Step 3 of the counselling includes the confirming of the seats where the candidate will be confirming the allotted seats by paying a sum of 15000. Again the draft will be in the name of Finance officer UPTU Lucknow payable at city branch. This fee will be adjusted with the admission fee that will be paid in the allotted institute.
Step 4 According to the state rule 5% seats are allotted to people lying below tuition wavier scheme. This seat will be displayed during the choice filling round.
