Eligibility for appearing in UPSEE for B.Tech./ B.Pharm/ B.Arch./ BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA for admission in first year

The candidates to appear in this exam must have a combination of subject given in the table below.

  1. The students appearing to take admission in B.Tech/ B.Pharm/BHMCT/BFAD/ BFA must have qualified the intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+2 from any recognized institute with 45% (40% for SC/ST) minimum marks in aggregate.
  2. For admission in B.Arch. the candidates must have passed the intermediate exam from U.P. board or 10+2 from any recognized institute with a minimum of 50% and must have passed the required subject without any grace.
  3. Candidates having a three year diploma in Architecture recognized by central/ state government can also appear for the examination
  4. Candidates qualified for B.Tech are also eligible for (Agriculture engineering as well as Bio-technology)
  1. Eligibility for appearing in UPSEE for admission in MBA/ MCA/ MAM courses in first year
    1. Candidate seeking admission in MBA/ MCA in institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, and a candidate must have passed the bachelor’s degree 3 year course recognized by any Indian university. The minimum percentage of marks required is 50% (45% SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
    2. Candidates seeking admission in MCA must have Mathematics at 10+2 level
    3. Candidates seeking admission in MAM must have completed intermediate examination or 10+2 examination from any recognized institution. The minimum marks required 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
  2. Eligibility to appear in UPSEE for admission to 2nd year of B.Tech/ B.Pharm./ MCA
    1. Lateral entry to B.Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA courses is not allowed
    2. Lateral entry to B.Tech. For Engg. Diploma holders or B.Sc. graduated with mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or in MCA for BCA and B.Sc. candidates is open only for institutes affiliated to AKTU.
    3. Candidates who have passed Engg diploma from an institutes of U.P. with a minimum of 45% marks are eligible for admission in branch of engineering/ Technology
    4. For admission in 2nd year of MCA the candidate must have passed BCA, B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Science) from any recognized university or equivalent university with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
    5. Lateral entry to B.Pharm and Agriculture engineering possible only if the candidate have diploma in concerned discipline.
  3. Eligibility for admission to NRI quota in first year
  1. NRI quota seats shall be filed from NRI’s who
    1. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics from an institution situated outside India
    2. OR have passed high school certificate education examination with physics Chemistry and mathematics from London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka
    3. Have appeared in SAT II examination with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry
  2. The vacant seats in NRI quota shall be filled by son. / Daughter/ real brother/ real sister of NRIs who have passed intermediate or equivalent exam securing 50% (45% for SC/ST) from institution situated in India.
  3. The candidates must submit an NRI certificate.
  4. The candidates will be informed separately about counseling dates
  1. Eligibility for Admission to Foreign Nationals (FN) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Children of Indian workers in gulf countries  (CIWGC) in first year
    1. Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with physics, chemistry and Mathematics which is considered equivalent to (10+2) by association of Indian Universities
    2. Possess valid SAT-II score with mathematics level II C, physics and chemistry
    3. Should submit a copy of passport or equivalent document to support their nationality
  2. Eligibility for direct admission to second year institutions under vacant seats after counseling of UPSEE 2020

The vacant seats will be filled first by the UPSEE qualified candidates followed by candidates on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination. The institutes shall commence the admission to these seats for 15 days after last counseling. The institutes will be proceeding for admission only after advertising in at least two newspapers and institute website. The institutes shall also provide a week time to submit application.
