The AKTU UPSEE has divided the reservation into to different categories that is vertical and horizontal. The reservation has been described in different categories which is defined in the tables below. The selection of the quota has certain rules which the candidate has to follow. The rules are given below along with the tables.

  • The candidates has to select only one horizontal reservation out of UPFF/UPAF/UPHC. However the girls can also claim for UPFF/UPAF/UPHC alongwith UPGL.
  • The category and sub-category must be supported with relevant certificates during the admission procedure. Failing to produce the certificates will make the candidates will be treated as a general student.
  • The advantage of the armed forces category is available to sons/daughters of defence personel of U.P. either retired  or killed/ disabled in action and the dependents settled in U.P. or the defence personnel posted in U.P. on the date of Entrance examination.
  • The seats available under fee waier scheme will be notified in respective categoried during counseling.
  • The benefits of UPGL subcategory will be automatically given to female candidates.
  • Certificate no. 4,5 and 6 are required at the time of counseling for claiming reservation in subcategories.
