  1. First thing first you need to be an Indian national, either residing in or outside India. OCI applications will be accepted from this year onwards
  2. Secondly, you need to be at least of seventeen years of age while filling up the application form. If not then by the end of this year, i.e. 31st of December 2014, you must fulfill the age criteria.
  3. You must have completed your higher secondary examination, which is an equivalent of 10+2 examination with Chemistry, Physics, Bio Technology or Biology or any other elective subject along with English.
  4. You must pass in all these above mentioned subject with a minimum score of 50% in all of them. If you are a registered student, you need to score a minimum of 40%. In case of OPH students a minimum of 45% in all subjects is essential.
  5. You have to submit the eligibility certificate while registering for the examination.
