One of the most prestigious institutions in India, known for offering courses in medical sciences Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, is conducting theirJIPMER 2014 MBBS Exam for aspiring doctors interested to get into their MBBS program. The form filling has already started since March, and the interested candidates need to fill in their applications by May. Post taking the exam, the score will stay valid for a year.

Eligibility:

The JIPMER MBBS 2014 exam eligibility criteria is that you have to pass your higher secondary examination (10+2) having physics, chemistry, biotechnology or biology along with English and should be at least 17 years of age during the application of the form. Last but not the least you can only apply for the examination if your nationality is Indian.

The Examination Pattern:

The JIPMER 2014 MBBS Exam is going to be objective answers based, where the candidates need to appear for the following subjects:

  • Physics
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Zoology

As a candidate you have to answer 200 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) within a period of 150 minutes. The exam is going to be conducted online. The exam doesn’t have any negative marking system.

  • UR: Fifty
  • SC: Sixteen
  • ST: Eleven
  • OBC: Twenty Eight
  • Residents of Puducherry: Forty
  • NRI/OCI: Five

Important dates of the Jipmer 2014 MBBS examination:

The online application of forms will commence from 19th of March 2014, 11 am onwards and will continue till 2nd of May 2014 4:30. The exam is going to take place on the 8th of June from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

Where can you get the application form:

The application form can be collected from the campus itself and the application fee for JIPMER MBBS 2014 exam is 1000 rupees, If you are applying as a reservation candidate, then you need to pay 800 rupees. Besides the JIPMER campus, you can also pick up the application form from any State Bank of India branch near your location. Now, if you don’t want to physically go and collect the form, you can easily get it at home by attaching a bank demand draft of the mentioned sum along with a letter of request to the exam conducting body. Last but not the least you can apply online for JIPMER MBBS 2014 exam where you need to take a print out of the application and submit it to the conducting body along with the bank demand draft.
