This is an examination which will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission or in short (UPSC) on 20th June, 2014. The exam is a 3 day long process.

- Date of information: 8th Feb 2014.
- Final Date For Receipt of Applications: 10th March 2014 (MONDAY).
- IES Exam DATE: 24th May 2014 (SATURDAY) (3 days exam)
The examination is conducted in two stages:
- Written Test (1000 marks).
- Interview (200 marks).
Selection Procedure Of the IES 2014 Entrance Exam
In order to appear for the exam, you should be aware that the selection procedure for the exam is very rigorous. This is because the step involves two steps. In the first step there is a written examination and in the second step there is a Personality or Personal Interview of the shortlisted candidates whereas in the third phase the candidate will be allocated conventional technical papers.
The exam will be held for a period of 3 days in which the first phase will consist of General Ability paper in which the candidate will be tested on his aptitude for the General English. There will also be an exam on the General Studies Each of 200 marks each.
When a candidate qualifies for this exam they will get an opportunity to be a part of the planning commission and also many of the other government owned bodies in the country.
