In order to appear for the IES 2014 exam, it will be the eligibility Criteria which will determine your admission procedure for this test. In order to appear for the exam you should be able to fulfill the Eligibility conditions of the exam. Here is the complete information about the eligibility criteria.

a) Nationality: If you are applying for the IES 2014 exam, you should be an Indian Citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. You can also be a Tibetan refugee who has made India their permanent home prior to January 1st, 1962.

B) Age Limit: In order to appear for the exam the minimum age which has to be attained by the candidate is 21 years. Moreover, the candidate should not be more than 30 years of age. They should also have been born earlier than 2nd January, 1983 and not before 1st January, 1992.

The upper age limit is 30 years but can be relaxed in case of Government servants and has therefore been increased to 35 years. In order to give the exam the candidate has to be an employee of any department or office under any authority like Central Public Works Department, Railway Department, Military Engineer Service department so that they come under the eligibility criteria of the above exam.

C) Qualifications based on Education: In order to appear for the exam the candidate should in possession of an Engineering degree from a recognized University which has been incorporated by an Act of the Central Government or State Legislature in India.

The aspiring candidate should have cleared section A & B of the institutes or University examination.

D) Physical Standards: Those candidates applying should also be mentally as well as physically fit as per the physical standards which have been laid down by the UPSC with regard to the eligibility criteria of IES 2014.
