BITSAT is the engineering entrance exam which is conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. It is a deemed university and offers a variety of engineering courses for the three different campuses Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. In total, there are 2000 seats which are distributed in three different campuses. On an average around 85000 students appear every year for the exam but only the good students can seek admission to any of the three campuses depending upon their merit.

The BITSAT exam is conducted online at the allotted centers only. The paper is an objective type which consists of different questions which have to be answered within three hours. Based on their performance, a merit list is prepared and the students are called for the counseling. BITSAT is one of the most reputed exams conducted at the national level with candidates from all across India applying for it. As the seats are limited, therefore the students have to give their best and secure good marks to seek admission in any of its campuses.

The exam paper consists of total 140 questions which are divided into four various sections. The first section is of Physics which consists of 40 questions followed by chemistry (40 questions), mathematics (45 questions) and English proficiency & logical reasoning (25 questions). There is a negative marking too which means that for every wrong answer, your marks will be deducted from the total score. So it is necessary that the candidates answer only those questions which they are sure of. This will help them to secure more marks thus getting a better rank.
