The MAT or the Management Aptitude Test has been in vogue since 1988 to facilitate the B-Schools to screen candidates for taking admission to MBA and also to its allied programs. In order to be eligible for the exam, the candidates should fulfill the following conditions:

  • The candidates should be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized College/ University.
  • Even those of you who are in the final year, you can also sit for the exam
  • There is no age limit to appear for this exam.
  • You will also not require any minimum marks in your graduation to appear for MAT 2014.
  • The Total Time duration is 150 minutes and Total Marks 200 in the MAT 2014 exam.
  • There is negative marking in the MAT Exam. You will be deducted ¼ of the marks for each of the wrong answers.

MAT 2014 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus comprises of topic like social science, literature and mathematics. You will also have to crack lots of problems in the test. As a candidate, you will have to have a detailed understanding of following Syllabus.

  1. Mathematical skills
  2. Intelligence and Critical reasoning
  3. Language Comprehension
  4. Indian and Global Environment
  5. Data Interpretation

So this is the eligibility criteria which should be followed by the candidates. Though SC/ST candidates receive relaxation in age and qualifying marks but they need to produce the certificate for the same. Only then they will be able to get the relaxation and apply for the exam.
