Common Admission Test commonly known as the CAT is an annual event. The CAT 2015 this year will be conducted by Indian Institute of Management. The CAT is a test which allows candidate to take a shot to get admission in the top business administration colleges in the country. The test is a national level test that will be happening in more than 130 cities of India. To take this examination there are few eligibility criteria which one needs to fulfill. Here is the list of the criteria’s which a candidate appearing for the test needs to clear before registering for the test.
- The candidates appearing for the test must have a bachelor’s degree. The degree must be from a reputed college in the country. During the admission the weightage will be given to the reputation of the college of attaining the degree.
- The minimum percentage of marks required during the bachelor’s degree is 50% for general criteria candidates. This mark is reduced for the Scheduled cast or Scheduled Tribe candidates are 45%. This mark lies same for candidates with disability or Differently abled.
- If the candidate is awarded grades or CGPA in the bachelor degree then the conversion of it will be done according to the university or the institution rules.
- Candidates who are in the final year of the education or are awaiting results can also appear for the test. The only criteria are that the candidates should be able to provide the mark sheets before June 30, 2016.
- The CAT organizing committee can look into the eligibility criteria and holds the final right in order to decide whether to allow the candidate for appearing for the test.
- The eligible courses are any B.E or B.Tech Degree from an institution or university approved by AICTE.
- Other than this a U.G. degree recognized by the Association of Indian University, New Delhi.
