Biju Patnaik University of Technology is a state university and was started by an act of the state legislature in 2003 in Rourkela, Odisha. The university has more than 110 affiliated colleges with more than 100000 students. It is recognized by AICTE, UGC, NIRF, PCI, and NBA. The university offered UG, PG, and doctoral programs in various streams of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Computer Application, Architecture, and Planning. The university works by following the principle “Think Good, Do Good, Be Good”.

It offers the following courses:
- B.E/B.TECH in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Automobile, Biotechnology, Chemical, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics streams.
- The other undergraduate courses are B.Arch, B.Pharm, and BBA
- Post Graduate courses are M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, M.Pharm, MBAP, IMBA(Master of Business Administration Integrated), MCA, M.Arch, M.Plan(Master of Planning)
Eligibility Criteria
- Admission in B.E/B.TECH is granted on the basis of a valid score in the JEE entrance exam.
- Admission in B.Pharm is decided on the basis of OJEE Scores.
- Admission in B.Arch and B.Planning is granted on the basis of a valid score in the NATA test.
- Admission in all PG courses are decided on the basis of OJEE scores
- Candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. should have a valid score in NET/GATE/GPAT/QIP/XAT
