Singrauli

The district of Singrauli came into existence in the year 2008 when some of the tehsils were separated from the district of Sidhi district. The district of Singrauli has its main administrative headquarters in the city of Waidhan. The district is extremely important to the state of Madhya Pradesh because of the fact that it is one of the laeding industrial zones if the state. The district is famous for the coal mines that it has and literally powers all the nearby industrial sectors. The coal mines of the district spans about 2200 sq km. The district of Singrauli covers a land area of around about 5672 sq km with a population of 11.7 lacs individuals. The density of population of the region is about 208 people per sq km. The development of the region is mainly due to the industrial development in the district which provides employment to a lot of people of the region.
