The Central University of Karnataka came into being in 2009 at Kalaburagi and it is approved by the UGC. The university has its own permanent campus which is spread over 654 acres of land. The main aim of the university is to convey higher education in low educated districts or areas. It provides various courses under UG, PG, and Doctoral programs mainly in the Arts, Humanities, Management, Science, and Engineering areas. It has its own campus spread over 654 acres of land near Kadaganchi village in the district of Kalaburagi, Karnataka State.

Eligibility Criteria
- Admission in all UG courses are decided on the basis of CUCET score and candidates must be higher secondary passed out from a recognized board
- Admission in B.Tech is based on JEE Main/CUCET score
- Admission is M.Tech is decided by a valid score in the GATE examination followed by GD, PI
- Admission in Ph.D. is allowed on the basis of CUCET score followed by a personal interview
