Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (Also popularly known as IIT Mandi) is the most prestigious government institute set up by the Government of India in 2009 in Himachal Pradesh. IIT Mandi has achieved the status of Institute of National Importance by the Indian Parliament. The institute campus is built over 508 acres of land at Kamand, Mandi. It comprises four schools namely the School of Engineering, School of Basic Sciences, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, School of Computing & Electrical Engineering. The institute offers various courses at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels courses and all the academic courses are approved by the University Grant Commission. The rank of IIT Mandi is 31 for Engineering by NIRF and 13 by India Today in 2020.

The courses are given below:

• Full-Time B.Tech for 4 years in Computer Science Engg., Electrical Eng., Mechanical Engg., Civil Engg.
• Full-Time M.Sc for 3 years in Maths, Physics, Chemistry subjects
• M.Tech in The Energy System, Biotech Engg., Material Engg., VLSI, Power Electronics, Communication & Signal Processing, Mechanical Engg., Computer Science Engg.
• Ph.D. in Signal Processing & Communication, Thermal Fluid Science, Computer Science, Power Electronics, Control System, Electronics Devices, Water Resource, Geotechnical Engineering, Social Science

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates Seeking admission in the UG Courses must have 75% aggregate marks in the higher secondary from a recognized university
• Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech are required to clear JEE Advanced exam
• Candidates seeking admission in M.Sc have to crack the IIT-JAM exam and the personal interview
• Admission in M.Tech is decided by the GATE score followed by the personal interview
• Admission in Ph.D. is allowed on the basis of UGC NET/CSIR NET score followed by the personal interview
