Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences was founded by the Late Dr. N T Ramarao in 1986 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Dr. N T Rao was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and the first chancellor of the university. The university has 282 affiliated colleges that offer various UG, PG, and Doctoral level courses in the field of Modern Medicine, Dental Surgery, Ayurveda, Para-Medical, Nursing, Homeopathy, etc. The university is approved and recognized by the Medical Council of India, Central Council of India, University Grant Commission. The nearest railway station is Ramavarappadu Railway Station which is 4 km away and the nearest airport is Vijayawada International Airport which is 15 km away from the university. Eligibility Criteria

• Admission in B.Sc Nursing, BAMS, BHMS, BPT is allowed on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination conducted by the university
• Admission in MBBS/BDS is decided by the valid marks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 
• Admission in MD, MS, MDS is granted on the basis of marks secured in NEET PG / AIAPGET (All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test)
• Candidates seeking admission in Ph.D. must have 4 years of work experience and a master degree in MDS/ MD/ MSc/ MPT
