The Bharathidasan University is one of the most important and well known Universities of Southern India. The University was founded in the year 1982 with the consent of the University Grants Commission. The Bharathidasan University has been named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan. The University is one of the many universities of Southern India and plays a major role in developing the basic infrastructure of higher education in the state of Tamil Nadu. The Bharathidasan University is located in the city of Tiruchirapalli making it the center of all major education in the nearby districts.

The Bharathidasan University started off with a land area of approximately 1000 acres of land area with over 10 different courses to offer for the students. With time, the Bharathidasan University has developed as well and now provides higher education in various fields like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Medical Sciences, Geo Sciences, etc. Apart from the science section, students are also being enrolled in subjects of arts, economics, management, etc. Over the period of time, the Bharathidasan University has developed as a center of excellence in studies as well as culture.

It is a state university approved by UGC, AIU, and NAAC. The campus size of the university is 631 acres. 151 Affiliated colleges, 21 Government Colleges, and 10 University colleges come under the university. It was placed at 28th rank for private MBA by Outlook 2020, 60th rank for University by NIRF 2019, 16th rank for Private MBA by The Week 2019. It provides various courses in UG, PG, and Doctoral programs.

Eligibility Criteria

• The admission in MBA is on the basis of a valid scorecard in TANCET/ GMAT/ CAT/ MAT and a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate
• Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech should crack GATE and hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Candidates need to clear an entrance exam conducted by the university
• Admission in Ph.D. is granted on the basis of qualifying marks in UGC NET/SET
• Admission in all other UG, PG, and M.Phil are granted on the basis of merit.
