Jiwaji University is a government university in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and it was inaugurated on 23 May in 1964 and sarvepalli radhakrishnan,the then president of India laid the foundation stone of the university campus on December 11,1964. It is one of the leading universities of the State and more than 390 colleges are affiliated with the university. Jiwaji University is approved & recognized by the University Grant Commission and AICTE. The campus size of the university is 225 acres. The university allows various UG, PG, and Doctoral level courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Arts, Pharmacy, etc.
The university works with the motto “education brings aplomb and glory”. The university provides easy accessible features to the students it is just like a home away from home the campus is fully connected to wi-fi. Their teaching procedures are extensive and a lot of stress is given on the hands of experience, seminars & soft skill training.
Jiwaji University Courses
The courses are given below:
- Full-Time BE/B.Tech for 4 years in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Chemical Engineering
- M.Sc in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Microbiology subjects
- MBA in Business Economics, Human Resource Development, and Tourism Administration specializations
- The other courses include B.Pharma, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA LLB, M.Tech, MCA, M.Phil, Ph.D., Diploma, and PG diploma
Eligibility Criteria
- Admission to B.Tech is granted on the basis of qualifying marks in the JEE Main
- Admission to B.Pharma is decided by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Madhya Pradesh (MP) Counseling
- Admission to other UG courses is granted through Jiwaji University Entrance Test
- Candidates looking for admission in M.Tech need to clear the GATE exam
- Admission to all other PG courses is decided by DTE MP Counseling
- Admission in M.Phil/Ph.D. is based on UGC NET/CSIR NET marks
Scholarship
It provides scholarship programs for higher studies for students belonging to the ST/SC section.

The highest salary package offered in 2018 was 6.8 Lakh per annum, and 10.5 LPA in 2017 campus placement. Some of the recruiters include Reliance, Nestle, Axis Bank, and many more.
