Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), was also popularly known as Bengal Engineering College), came into existence in 1856 in Shibpur, West Bengal. IIEST is approved & recognized by AICTE and it is one of the oldest engineering institutes in India. IIEST provides UG, PG, and Doctoral programs in the field of Engineering, and Management. According to NIRF, the institute holds 19th place among the best engineering institutes in India in 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission in UG, PG, and Doctoral programs should have completed higher secondary with PCM, Graduation, and Master’s degree.
• Admission in B.Tech is granted on the basis of  JEE Main score
• Admission in M.Tech is granted on the basis of the valid marks in the GATE 
• Admission in MBA is allowed on the basis of valid marks in the CAT/ MAT/XAT 
• Admission in M.Sc is decided by the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) conducted by the IIT
• Admission in Ph.D. is decided by the entrance exam conducted by the IIEST followed by the personal interview
