The Girl On The Train

Reliance Entertainment has brought again a mystery thriller film with Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. It is an adaptation of the 2016 American film “The Girl On The Train” which was based on Paula Hawkin’s novel of the same name. Parineeti Chopra would be seen as an alcoholic divorcee who got involved in a missing person’s case in some unexpected way. Aditi Rao Hydari and Kirti Kulhari will also be seen in the film. The film is ready to take your breath away on 8 May 2020.  

Parineeti Chopra’s role was originally played by Emily Blunt in the Hollywood version which earned rave reviews from critics. However, Chopra has claimed that she will be in a completely different avatar in this thriller. She made herself clear by stating that the audiences have never seen her in this way before and she did a lot of home works and preparations for this role. She also said that her role is about a victim of abuse. She in fact started commuting in trains in UK for getting into the role. This thriller revolves around Parineeti’s character witnessing things during her train journeys and how she experienced various kinds of emotions during the long rides. The train is the key element in this movie. 

The movie has been directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. After his Netflix success of “Bard of Blood”, his yet another thriller is ready for the box office. Tribhuvan Babu is behind the cinematography. Shibasis Sarkar, Group CEO Reliance Entertainment also added that “The Girl On The Train” is one of the best psychological thrillers to ever hit the screens of Bollywood. Reliance has procured the rights of book as well as the movie so that they could make the film from an Indian perspective. “The Girl On The Train” is all set to mark a major milestone in the thriller genre of Bollywood.
