Madurai Kamaraj University is a public university in India located in Madurai city in southern Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1966. Madurai Kamaraj University was initiated on 6 February 1966, in view of the augmentation focus of the University of Madras, spotted in Madurai. In 1968 the establishment stone for other facilities was laid by Zakir Hussain, the President of India. The Directorate of Distance Education of the college was made in 1971. In 1978 the name of the college was changed to Madurai Kamaraj University to respect the K. Kamaraj, previous Chief Minister of Madras State.
It has about 130,000 students in 18 schools comprising 72 departments, and 109 affiliated colleges.The university is affiliated with under graduate programs, post graduate programs and other research programs as well. Certificate/ Certificate courses in the different offices. In a matter of seconds, 66 under graduate, what's more 45 post graduate courses are offered in the partnered Colleges. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates seeking admission to the PG and Doctoral program must have completed the bachelor’s degree and master’s degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a UGC recognized university.
- Admission to MBA is allowed on the basis of qualified marks in the entrance exam like CAT/MAT/CMAT
- Admission to the M.Phil and Ph.D. is granted on the basis of the UGC NET/CSIR NET scorecard
